The Borrowers movie review
Movie Poster, The Borrowers, Festivale film review The Borrowers

Little people live all around us, apparently responsible for all those niggling minor disappearances of needles, and short-lived batteries. Somehow they are borrowers, not thieves, although I'm at a loss to see the difference if they don't return things. But when they are cute, who cares?

Apparently set in the 1950s with one or two errors in props, this is your typical children's fare -- cute creatures, brave and noble children and wicked villains (John Goodman). It's very slapstick humour, the baddie loses, and the goodies win. Adults at children's prices.
