Titan A.E.The Titan was ... the most advanced ship in the universe. That ship has the power to reunite the human race. The only way to find it is in your hand.
Shades of Star Wars. An orphaned youth is taken into space by a hardened old spacester who will help him save the human race.
Being an animated story, there are lots of strange creatures. Being a late twentieth century story there are females in tough roles, but still we have that opening salvo -- remember girls, you're handmaidens, not actual people. It's time to save men-kind again, and if the chicks can kick backsides, they can do so in the service of the bosses.

It's a science fiction adventure story with contemporary music and contemporary animation, largely traditional with specific characters whose role is to provide slapstick laughs. Strictly for the shoot-em-up adventure crowd. |
