Corruptor, The
A corrupt Chinatown cop tries to protect his new partner from the corruption he himself has succumbed to.
It's refreshing to see a film set in Chinatown that isn't all shouts, kicks and strikes. In The Corruptor, the powers that be send a white china-phile (Mark Wahlberg) to join an asian task force. He is young and unseasoned and quickly falls foul of the local colour and characters. Watching and trying to protect him from this is his new boss(Chow Yun-Fat)

It's spot-the-cliche when the film makers indulge in an orgy of cliches. If you think you're an expert in martial arts or cop movies, then you'll probably have a great time breaking down the film into references/sources. Otherwise it's a pretty straightforward cop movie.
