Worth Winning(1989) movie review

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun

Taylor Worth (Mark Harmon) is a local celebrity. He's the gorgeous weatherman who has a way with the ladies.

He's smart, he's rich, he's well dressed, and he's the bane of the married guys in his poker game. They think he needs a good marriage to put him in his place. And so, the bet.

His friends will choose three eligible women and he must get each one to agree to marry him. It's his cabin against his friend's print.

An engaging comedy about a bachelor and three near Mrs.

Veronica Briskow (Madeleine Stowe) is an extroverted concert pianist who abhors mediocrity. Erin Cooper (Maria Holvoe) works for the local football team and is their unofficial blonde bombshell mascot. Eleanor Larimore (Leslie Anne Warren) is married - but it's a bad marriage - a quiet, frumpy country club member with a quiet, frumpy, country club family.

Juggling three women and avoiding the inevitable explosion if they find out about one another and the bet has Taylor using all his cunning, but he's man enough for the job, isn't he?

Fast, funny and enjoyable to watch.
