Mamma Mia movie review
Songs to Search By
A young bride invites her mother's ex-lovers to her own wedding in hopes that she will discover the identity of her father.
Interspersed with the songs of ABBA, this musical give grown-up audiences a chance to walk down memory lane with some well-known actors. For the youngsters, this is a chance to develop the guilty pleasure that is the music of ABBA.
Set in the idyllic Mediterrean, this is undoubtedly as frothy as the original hit songs. A familiar cast not known for their singing performances have a good time in an unfamiliar genre.
The story is familiar and unpretentious. Mamma Mia is something fun to watch while munching your favourite movie snacks. Worth an unimproving look.
