Unbroken (2014) movie review
Journey Through Adversity
This film follows the American Olympian, Louis Zamperini was held in a Japanese POW camp. It follows his childhood though to competing at the 1936 Olympic Games to his internment and release at the end of the war. One man's courage and strength against all odds. "If you can take it. You can make it".
What an extraordinary film. That it was based on a true story really brings home the incredible bravery and selflessness of our war veterans. "if you can take it, you can make it" was the saying throughout the film, and how true it was. Very inspirational. Also very emotional after what had occurred in Sydney just two days previous to the previews. The wonder is that any of our soldiers survived such brutality.
Unbroken was written by the Coen brothers and directed by Angelina Jolie.
Amazing that you can have a film with no female leads or sex and still be great!!!!
