T. M. Knight

Has your interaction with fans, for example, at conventions, affected your work?

T. M. Knight is actually my pen name, and to maintain my anonymity, I've deliberately avoided conventions. I love my fans, and I still communicate with them via social media though.

Is there any particular incident (a letter, a meeting, a comment that stands out?

Most of my interactions with fans have been exceedingly positive. I've become friends with a few fans who have really enjoyed my work, and I treasure them!

Do you have a favourite author or book (or writer or film or series) that has influenced you or that you return to?

I'm a fan of Dean Koontz, and I've read most of his books. I like that with his books, you generally get a happy ending. He does a good job of finishing his stories, and I can relate to his characters rather easily.

Who is the person you would most like to be trapped in a lift with? or a spaceship?

My significant other. They mean the world to me! <3

Who is the person you would most DISlike to be trapped in a lift with? Or a spaceship?

Anyone with garlic breath!

What would you pack for space? (Is there a food, beverage, book, teddy bear, etc that you couldn't do without?)

Dark chocolate, red wine, Ender's Game and my writing laptop.

What is the most important thing you would like to get/achieve from your work?

I'd really just like to make a career out of it. Be able to support my family with my writing. Right now I'm doing well with it, but my day job still pays more.

What is the special satisfaction of your work?

Getting to see the smiles on people's faces once they've read one of my stories, or hearing that they related with one of my characters. It makes the hours I spend writing worth it!
