Microsoft Office 2000 beta is due to be available in Australia mid-December. Surpisingly, Microsoft plan to charge their unpaid testers. During a recent trip to Australia, Bill Gates said, "We're not in the software development business -- we're in the testing business. Hmm. Cost of beta is USA$19.95, one of our contacts says expect to be A$49.95 in Oz. Information about the beta version is available on the Microsoft site. |
