The Lavender Miracle is a little handbook of useful information about lavender and its uses.
It contains a little bit of researched background, information about extracting oils, and uses for lavender.
It also contains more commas than absolutely necessary and some of the worst constructed sentences in publishing. The usefulness of the book is considerably damaged by the desperate need for a rewrite. There are many sentences that make absolutely no sense at all. If you are interested, you will need to be forgiving and willing to decipher some peculiar sentences to extract the information.

Essential Oils for Beginners addresses the essential oils across a broader range of ingredients. Again, it is a pamphlet rather than a book.
It covers background, extraction and a wide range of interesting-looking recipes for the use of essential oils.
This is a much better written book and addresses a broader subject. It makes a useful introduction to the subject.

The essential book on essential oils. Valerie Ann Worwood has produced some of the most useful books on essential oils including The Fragrant Pharmacy and The Fragrant Mind.
I have read her books and tested many of her recipes and never been disappointed. If you were only going to buy one book on the subject, I heartily recommend that you chose one of Worwood's - or better still, buy all of them.
Don't be fooled by the comparative prices of Worwood's books and others, her books are solid books with considerable information. Well-written, well-researched and well worth your time and money.
