Mortal Kombat Based on the game of the same name! Who could resist? Not enough people it would seem as they are gearing up the third movie in the series even now. There is even a live action TV series being screened in America currently. The first in the series does it justice though. The actors would have been better computer-generated, but they manage to get through their dialogue sufficiently well. The fight scenes are first class biff fests, with superb choreography and a few special moves (read "effects") thrown into the pot. It's mindless fun and will keep your brain happy when it needs a good break.
