Festivale online magazine, November, 1998 Paulie movie review |
Paulie
This film is about a bird trying to find its true owner. He learnt that sometimes opening his mouth and talking got him into trouble. He knew how to talk, but he didn't know when to stop. Paulie went through all the emotions like happiness, sadness and surprise and anger. When he was little he didn't know how to fly because Maria (Hallie Kate Eisenberg) kept keeping him on her finger and he didn't need to fly to get around. When Ivy (Gena Rowlands), the first friend he had when he tried to get to Maria, went blind he was her eyes.
All ages will like this film, and the best age would be a kid because you can learn that everything's not going to be your way, things will go wrong. |
