Scream 2
The best sequel ever.
With Wes Craven still in the director's seat (and he will be again for number three ) this next step in the parody of teen slasher films
is filled with in jokes for everyone.
The shining parts of the movie, however, have nothing to do with any of
the current plot line. It's the way the Craven manages to laugh at
himself by recreating the first movie, using the premise of a movie
being based on the "true events" of the first film being screened. To
see Tori Spelling playing Neve Cambells role, delivering exactly the same lines in exactly the same locations, with exactly the same frameshot, reveals the degree of intent for the whole movie.
The rest is filled with snappy lines about why the sequel can never be
as good as the first movie, internet faked nudes and other great cliches
as the cast is offed one by one.
