Saving GraceRecently widowed, Grace (Brenda Blethyn) finds herself a victim of sexually transmitted debt. Lots of it. Her late husband mortgaged her lovely seventeen century home in Cornwall for 300,000 pounds and if she can't raise it pronto, the creditors are going to sell it.Luckily she lives in the sort of English town that is full of lovable characters all willing to pitch in and help her out. With the aid of her newly unemployed gardener Matthew, she hatches a plan to use the best skill she has (her green thumbs) to grow the most valuable crop in the land.

Is it permissable to mention films like "The Full Monty" and "Four Weddings and a Funeral"? Saving Grace is every inch the formula English contempory comedy, but like it's predecessors, it delivers. Everywhere are rich sympathetic portrayals of every day people living their lives amongst beautiful Cornish scenery. Most enjoyable.
