The General's Daughter

A military criminal investigator Brenner (Travolta) and a psychologist Sunhill (Madeleine Stowe) investigate a violent crime involving the General's daughter.

The victim's life is seen to be complicated and tortured, and the betrayals of the past must be revealed before her killer can be found.

Military bureaucracy, conspiracies of silence and more interfere with Brenner and Sunhill's investigation in this routine murder-mystery.

It's a murder mystery that looks shiny and Hollywood in its presentation, but it's a late-night TV movie (read B-grade), or maybe a TV series episode.

This is a story with a beginning, a middle and an end; it has a go at toxic parenting, always a hobby horse of mine, but ultimately, once you've seen this film, you don't need to see it again. A disposable story, not a tale to haunt, or inspire that calls to be reheard; which makes it a B-story in my book.
