Morning Glory (2010) movie review
Work and Overwork
A workaholic young woman gets a job as executive producer of a "Daybreak" television show.
Morning Glory is a film about contemporary life in the power jobs, those jobs where life gets put on hold while people work from dawn to after dark.
Diane Keaton plays a early-morning queen of the airwaves who has seen male co-hosts come and go, Harrison Ford plays a journalistic giant who is pulled back in front of the cameras in a genre he feels is beneath him and Rachel McAdams plays the EP with no dating skills who doesn't recognise when she's being asked on a date. Does it sound like the recipe for a formulaic film, oh yes. Occasionally amusing but always predictable.
