Not really, Being in Germany I have no face to face contact with anyone.

One fellow sent me an unsolicited manuscript. I explained that I have nothing to do with selecting fiction. He then wrote a few days later wanting to know when his story would be published and how much he was going to get paid.
Do you have a favourite author or book (or writer or film or series) that has influenced you or that you return to?
HPL, REH, CAS, Leigh Brackett, Richard Brautigan, Glen Cook, ERB, Robert Bloch, Cordwainer Smith, Harlan Ellison, Robert Heinlein, Jack Vance, Joe Lansdale. My list betrays my age! :-)

To help return Weird Tales magazine to its former glory.
What is the special satisfaction of your work?
Being part of something so historic and special.
