Prolific author Lorraine Bartlett also writes under the names L.L. Bartlett and Lorna Barrett.
Her latest release was With Baited Breath (under Lorraine Bartlett name). Her next release is A Fatal Chapter (June 2nd) under Lorna Barrett name.
Has your interaction with fans, for example, at conventions, affected your work?
I listen to my readers. I'd already written the 2nd Booktown Mystery (under my Lorna Barrett name) when the first one came out. My readers let me know they didn't like Sheriff Wendy Adams. She was history by book #3.
Is there any particular incident (a letter, a meeting, a comment that stands out?
No.
Do you have a favourite author or book (or writer or film or series) that has influenced you or that you return to?
I often reread books by Barbara Michaels or Dick Francis.
Who is the person you would most like to be trapped in a lift with? or a spaceship?
My brother, Ian. He'd figure out a way to get us out of there! Me go into space? Never happen. I don't even fly. (I'm a chicken.)
Who is the person you would most DISlike to be trapped in a lift with? Or a spaceship?
Anyone with the flu!
What would you pack for space? (Is there a food, beverage, book, teddy bear, etc that you couldn't do without?)
An iPod. I cannot live without music. (And books. And audio books....)
What is the most important thing you would like to get/achieve from your work?
Personal satisfaction.
What is the special satisfaction of your work?
It's wonderful when readers write to me and tell me that my work has affected them in some way.
