Has your interaction with fans, for example, at conventions, affected your work?

Of course! I've really enjoyed the feedback received from people who have read my work and have actually used some of the ideas they've given for my next book.

Is there any particular incident (a letter, a meeting, a comment that stands out?

One of my readers suggested, through a message on Goodreads, that I put a character into a situation that would really test him. I've done this in the prequel to my first book. I'm currently in the process of fleshing that out now.

Do you have a favourite author or book (or writer or film or series) that has influenced you or that you return to?

Blake Crouch is a big one for me.

Who is the person you would most like to be trapped in a lift with? or a spaceship?

I would love the chance to speak with Stephen King. Picking his brain would be extremely interesting.

Jenny McCarthy. If you don't know why, then we can't be friends.

What would you pack for space? (Is there a food, beverage, book, teddy bear, etc that you couldn't do without?)

My Kindle would definitely go with me. Also, I am a coffee fiend. Would need my morning coffee just to get by!

What is the most important thing you would like to get/achieve from your work?

I want to see that people are entertained, of course, but what I really want is to make someone THINK about an idea that never really occurred to them before.

What is the special satisfaction of your work?

Hearing the phrase, "I just started reading {so and so} and I love it!" or "I just finished it and I want more!"
