click to buy | Scary Movie 2Scary Movie 2 takes place about a year after the events of Scary Movie with pretty much an entirely new cast of characters. At first I thought that it would be as much fun as the first, but I found this iteration rather lame and aimed pretty much at the 15-18 year old market. What little actual humour was scatological and bordered on gross, although there were snippets of amusement, the bulk of the movie just didn't do it for me, unlike its predecessor. |

One of the few things that almost it worth viewing was identifying what
movie were being parodied. Some were relatively simple even though I
had not seen the original. The obvious ones were :The Exorcist,
Charlies' Angels and Hannibal, others were pretty vague.
The ghost scene in the bedroom with Tori Spelling was quite amusing, especially when the ghost made a break for the door once Tori started in on the wedding plans and the whole commitment thing. Other than that, whilst not a complete waste of time for me, it came close. Maybe wait for it to come out on video ... the three for a week at $5 might almost make it worth hiring.. |
