Charlie Fox is making a living teaching self defence. The rape and murder of a female clubber is cause for concern to her pupils, and unfortunately for Charlie she and the victim have a bit of history. As the investigation mounts Charlie finds herself and her home a target, but is it her connection with a women's refuge, with the club where she is the newest bouncer, or something more?

Still recovering from injuries, Charlie accepts a request from Sean that she investigate a bodyguarding school that has relocated to Germany.
