The Whole Nine Yards (2000) movie review
Nicholas 'Oz' Oseransky (Matthew Perry) is just your average dentist. Okay, his wife (Rosanna Arquette) is a bitch and his mother-in-law is no better, he's trapped in debt with a overspending wife. Maybe his new neighbour will be nice.
But just as he's making his welcome call he notices the tattoo on his neighbour's arm. Argh! It's Jimmy 'The Tulip' Tudeski, rehabilitated to the Canadian suburbs.
Now Oz's wife has a get-rich-scheme, she wants to snitch on Jimmy to his old boss. Oz just wants to keep breathing. When Jimmy makes overtures of friendship Oz is just the slightest big nervous.
Things are going to get worse for Oz. A wanna-be assassin wants an introduction. Oz is caught in a web of betrayal and danger as he finds himself meeting the mobster boss (Kevin Pollak) and Jimmy's lovely wife. Plus his wife has put a contract out on him. Could things get any worse? How is a dentist ever going to get out of this with his skin intact, and maybe the love of his life?
A comedy with guns.
