The Briars Park (1840s)
Pastoral station on the Mornington Peninsula. Refurbished homestead houses the Dame Mabel Brookes napoleonic Collection. Wetlands, woodlands, bird hide, wine tastings. 96 hectares was never cleared and now forms an important Wildlife Reserve, protected by a vermin proof fence.

One of the oldest and most intact timber farms in the Australia, buildings date from the 1850s. Restored cottage garden, farm tools, farm animals.
Monthly farmers market on the last Sunday of every month.

One hour by car from the Melbourne CBD by Eastern Freeway and then onto the Maroondah Highway via Ringwood to Lilydale.
(House of Prayer), only surviving building of its kind in the Victorian countryside, still used as a place of worship. Timber and handmade bricks.

Owned and operated by the Australian Aircraft Restoration Group (AARG), the oldest volunteer Aviation Museum in Australia with some 50 aircraft, engines and other material.

3,854 acre working farm once home of silent screen star Claire Adams. Extensively remodelled in 1937. Hundreds of acres of operating farmland, National Trust flora and Fauna reserve.
The Mackinnon legacy included the establishment of a 600acre nature reserve to maintain a sample of the vegetation and habitats of the western basalt plains and native grasslands. Blacks Creek and the Horseshoe Lagoon are also part of the nature reserve and provide a wetlands environment. (source: National Trust site)

This museum is currently in development, the exhibition centre will be located at Point Cook, Victoria. In the mean time visit the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) Museum at the same location.

Steam Packet Inn (1842)
One of the oldest buildings in Victoria, thought to be prefabricated in Tasmania. Began life in 1840 as a police barracks and at one time was a bordello before becoming an hotel.
