MaryJanice Davidson Series
You Can Be Fabulous and Undead
Elizabeth Taylor (don't start!), single, dead-end job (well, not anymore), lives with her cat. And I'm so dull, the fucking cat runs away about three times a month just to get a little excitement.
Betsy Taylor is just another woman with a shoe fixation. She has a job, well, had a job, loves her mom and was coming to terms with being thirty when suddenly being thirty wasn't much of a deal anymore. Because Betsy was dead.
And then to her surprise, she wasn't.
The day I died started out bad and got worse in a hurry.
No more blueberry pancakes. No ready-to-serve blood thoughtfully provided by her friend Jessica. Betsy discovers that having a meal is, er, sexy.
But Betsy discovers that her undead state is unusual. She is unique among the vampires, destined to be their queen, and she rapidly becomes involved in adventures and power struggles. Being dead, apparently, doesn't save one from politics.
Set in Minneapolis, the Undead series combines humour with vampire lore and romance. It's a fun, hip, series that has attracted men and women alike to its pages.
